About B clarinet

Clarinet is a single reed woodwind instrument.  B♭ clarinet is the most common soprano clarinet and is used in almost all orchestras and styles of music.

Soprano clarinets are: D clarinet, C clarinet,B♭ clarinet, A clarinet and G clarinet
A,B♭ na C clarinets are in use others are less common or obsolete.

Clarinet bodies is made of wood mostly they use ivory. Some cheaper ones are also made of hard plastic.
They also use materials such as African hardwood, mpingo (African Blackwood) or grenadilla, rarely (because of diminishing supplies) Honduran rosewood and sometimes even cocobolo.
Soprano clarinet is made of 5 components:
- Mouthpiece (The reed is attached to the mouthpiece by the ligature)
- Barrel
- Upper joint
- Lower Joint
- Bell

B clarinet's lowest note is E below and its highest note is A three.
I can play well to G three , A is too high for me to be sure that i can always play it. I could manage to play C4 so the highest note in my case is C4 but i can't be sure when the clarinet will play it.

More About Clarinet next time.
